Heat Treatment

Heat treatment is done to destroy pests and insect species within the tree, which is a living entity. For this process, after our trees are processed, the trees are to put into large ovens and they are purified from the organisms living in the tree by the heat so that no harmful organisms can be left in the product.

 

Candan Timber has 2 heat treatment furnaces.

 

Unbaked products cannot be exported. They are out of ISPM-15 standards.

What is ISPM 15?
It is the standard on internationally traded wooden packaging materials to prevent harmful organisms from transporting and spreading, as determined by the International Plant Health Convention (IPPC) for phytosanitary measures.


Which Countries Want Wood Packaging Materials According to ISPM 15 Standard?
According to the regulation, the ISPM-15 standard is sought in all wooden packaging materials used with the products exported from our country, regardless of whether the opposite country wants the ISPM-15 standard or not.


Countries seeking compliance with the ISMP-15 standard in particular;
United States, Argentina, European Union member countries, Australia, Belarus, Bolivia, Brazil, Algeria, China, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Indonesia, Armenia, Fiji, Philippines, French Polynesia, Guatemala, South Africa, South Korea, India, Honduras , Hong Kong, Iran, Israel, Switzerland, Jamaica, Japan, Canada, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Colombia, Korea, Costa Rica, Cuba, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mexico, Mozambique, Nigeria, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Russia Samoa, Seychelles, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Syria, Chile, Thailand, Tonga, Turkey, Ukraine, Oman, Jordan, Venezuela, Vietnam, Wallis and Futuna, New Caledonia.
